The conclusion of this arc of BPRD, and penultimate chapter overall, sees the heroes, improbably, prevail (thanks to ancient spirits, WW2-era magic armor, giant fallen angels; it’s not an easy victory). Strangely, I didn’t find the long, costly victory all that comforting. We’ll see if the final book holds anything truly soothing.
