There’s an undeniable thrill in seeing Liz Sherman, seemingly more powerful than ever, rejoining the fight and going toe-to-toe with the evolved and ever-more-dangerous Black Flame. I can’t help feeling, though, that that hope is going to prove to be misplaced. This series is too bleak and doom-laden for anything other outcome.
