52/52: Venus in the Blind Spot, by Junji Ito

More Ito is always good, but for the first time, I’m growing a little tired of the lack of agency for his female characters and the endless cycle of obsession, rape, and murder. Obsession is his most powerful (or at least overt) theme, but women as vessels for violence grates when unleavened.
