52/52: The Double, by George Pelecanos

My third Pelecanos and the first I didn’t outright love. Liked it, but it felt slight. Normally, Pelecanos succeeds with a combination of rich, deep setting and the nuanced psychology of his characters. Here, things felt a little too fast, a little too surface. A lot of fun, still, but less compelling.
