52/52: Knots and Crosses, by Ian Rankin
Categorized in: 52 Books/52 Weeks, Blog
One of Rankin’s novels about his Inspector Rebus. Perhaps an earlier book in the series. Hardly a police procedural; more a psychological procedural, excavating Rebus’ past traumas and present dysfunctions as observed through thick mental haze. Satisfying and quick paced, though weakened by the killer’s (necessary) too-close proximity to the cop.
