They Live, by Jonathan Lethem

The first in a series of books that looks to do for movies, especially cult movies, what 33 1/3 has done for albums. Here, Lethem examines John Carpenter’s whacked-out yuppies-as-aliens classwar science fiction flicks starring Rowdy Roddy Piper. Needless to say, super fun movie, well elevated by Lethem’s perceptive watching of it.
