The Nobody, by Jeff Lemire
Categorized in: 52 Books/52 Weeks
This rural Invisible Man has charms: Lemire is a great cartoonist, draws convincing portraits of small-town life, and accomplishes some visually inventive scenes with invisible bodies. Still, despite its 144 pages, the story feels slight and doesn’t say much new about the Invisible Man. A mixed first encounter with the well-regarded Lemire.
