The Goon is a strange comic combination of humor, horror, and 30s-era crime. While early volumes were hilarious, recently the jokes have faded for me. This volume, despite its promise of greater trouble and tragedy later, made me laugh out of loud – a welcome reminder of why I enjoy the series.
