Can I Say
OK, so I know that neither of these movies really quite fits my remit here at LT, but March is here and can I say how excited I am to see The Ring Two and The Jacket?
Wow. I’m really, genuinely thrilled for both and hope they don’t disappoint.
Ring Two looks visually shocking and just deeply terrifying (love all the water imagery, love Sissy Spacek, love that they’re marketing it at Delia*s).
The Jacket seems like it has a greater potential to disappoint, but might also offer greater promise. Not sure how I feel about Adrien Brody or Keira Knightley, but I sure like Jennifer Jason Leigh and am curious to see how she’s used in the first horror film I’ve seen her in since The Machinist.
In fact, these are the two movies I’m looking forward to most since The Machinist.
So: Welcome March! I’m off to the movies soon!

No, no. It’s not that I have a particular fondness for Delia’s (anymore), it’s just that I find the incongruity of Ring Two being advertised there amusing.
But how on earth did you just happen to come across the Ring Two ad?! 🙂
I have to say, that the Delia’s Link is more disturbing than the House of Wax trailer.
The nearest movie theater to Sam and I (Sam and me? Sam?) is in a mammoth mall. On the second floor of that mall is a Delia’s. Outside that Delia’s is a big ol’ poster for Ring Two!
Either that or he saw it while buying a tube top.
Now I get it. Here, and I thought this was an international website! 🙂

The advertising is running at all the Delia*s I’ve seen so far – the one Novice mentioned and one in King of Prussia, PA. Must be a chain-wide thing. That’s the really interesting thing to me.

I saw the Jacket, it was pretty good, my girlfriend really loved it.
My little sister used to get the Delia’s catalogues. About six/seven years ago she was throwing out two grocery bags full of them. I like fashion, so I grabbed them and stashed them in my closet. Unfortunately I have not been back to my parents house in two in a half years, perhaps they tossed those artifacts, I hope not.
